Growing up in a family of artists, Lorne has been drawing and expressing his artistic side for most of his life. As a teenager, he gained an interest in the art and history of tattooing and started replicating popular designs.
Lorne is a fourth-year tattoo artist who apprenticed in Vancouver. The pursuit of art and freedom attracted him to be an artist. He spent his apprenticeship learning the disciplines of working in a studio; from the mechanics of tattoo machines, to the sanitation of the studio. During this time, he practiced recreating traditional style tattoos, while expanding his knowledge in calligraphy and Japanese art.
With a certificate in bloodborne pathogenies control, Lorne takes pride in maintaining a sanitary space in which to work.
Lorne holds a special appreciation for subtle fine line black and grey tattooing, as well as the aesthetics of Japanese style and bold traditional American tattoos. He remains inspired by learning about art history, technology, psychology, philosophy and by surrounding himself with people who work hard to live free. He aspires to develop his own style in large scale tattoo work through personal education and guided instruction.
